Meet Ronnie
We started Ronnie's to bring a kid friendly place to the Dubois community. Once we decided on a sandbox, we had to think of a name for the business. That's when Ronnie's Sandbox was created in memory of Allen's father, Ron, who passed away. He was a HUGE Pittsburgh Pirates baseball fan, so we decided to make Ronnie a pirate and make the sandbox pirate/ nautical theme. We are keeping the memory of Ron alive, and we thank you all for supporting us!
Sand Hygiene
Cleanliness is a top priority at Ronnie’s — we want every little pirate to play in a space that feels fresh and safe.

Soft, Safe, and Clean
Our play sand is soft, safe, and clean—making it ideal for sandboxes and active play areas. It is thoroughly washed to remove impurities, silt, clay, dust, and organic materials, resulting in a high-quality product with minimal dust. Naturally sourced, non-toxic, round, and smooth, it provides a comfortable and worry-free experience for children.

Aeration
Each day, our team thoroughly turns and aerates the sand. This process keeps it loose, fresh, and well-oxygenated.

Prevention
We enforce a strict no-food and no-drink policy in all sandbox areas to prevent contamination from the start. Our staff also performs regular visual checks and actively removes any unwanted items throughout the day.

Hygiene and Disinfection
We routinely treat the sand with a safe, food-grade vinegar solution that naturally neutralizes bacteria. Sandbox toys are also cleaned and sanitized on a frequent schedule to maintain the highest hygiene standards.
